Binaural Beats for Meditation
Binaural beats are one of several audio techniques used in meditation recordings and brainwave-entrainment products.
What they are
Two slightly different tones are presented separately to each ear; the auditory system perceives a rhythmic difference. Headphones are generally required for the classic binaural effect.
Why meditators use them
Listeners often use these tracks as a focus cue or as part of a relaxation routine. Claims about specific cognitive or health outcomes should be treated cautiously because research findings vary.
Structured program or simple track?
Standalone tracks are easy to try. Structured systems add protocols, progression and supporting materials. See Holosync vs binaural beats and our brainwave entrainment guide.
